Had the chance to spend some time with a handful of great writer/directors during TIFF and got pick their minds about how they craft stories and create scenes on paper. Thank you, gentlemen, for the insight and wisdom! Screen writers unite!!

Rasmus Heisterberg (Left) made his directorial debut with In the Blood. He’s best known for writing a couple of films you may have heard of: the franchise-spanning The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the award winning The Royal Affair.
Fernando Guzzoni (right) was in Toronto from Chile for the International Premiere of his third feature, Jesus: An powerful story about teenage angst and the struggle of making the right decision when it counts.

Next up I play an agent for a rising star. Loved this script as soon as I read it. It’s a project that reminds me of the late, great, Robin Williams and many other comedy legends who pour out their hearts making the rest of us laugh yet struggle with so many of their own demons. And my character’s there for his rise… and his fall. Beautiful story about redemption and finding your true self.

Besides the must-see galas appearing at TIFF this year, be sure to add Eva Doesn`t Sleep by Pablo Agüero directing Gael Garcia Bernal at his best. Also keep an eye out for Sunset Songs by Terence Davies (The Deep Blue Sea) starring the lovely Agyness Deyn & Kevin Guthrie. I was honored to spend time with these super-talented folks during their respective red carpet premieres this week. Congratulations to you all!!
